West Cork Chamber Music Festival 2018

The West Cork Chamber Music Festival is one of the most prestigious chamber festivals in Ireland and indeed Europe.

The 2018 programme will be announced early in the year, with the festival running between 29th June and 8th July. General booking opens 20th March. You’ll find our latest programme here:

The opening concert will be held at Bantry House at 8pm and the intervening week is packed with concerts and performances every day. The intimate performances take place in St. Brendan’s Church, set in the heart of Bantry, and in Bantry House, one of Ireland’s most striking 18th-century mansions, overlooking Bantry Bay.

A Festival Fringe of free admission performances will run in venues throughout the Bantry area including Whiddy and Garnish Islands. Young musician masterclasses, morning talks and Ireland’s only instrument making exhibition run throughout the Festival.

In short, if you are a lover of chamber music, or an aspiring orchestra performer, this is the only place to be in Ireland for the 10 days of the festival, with the final gala performance on 8th July at Bantry House the icing on the cake.
