Ireland’s most exciting new music and arts festival It Takes a Village, is set to kick off at Trabolgan Holiday Village in Cork, Friday 13th to Sunday 15th of April.
It Takes A Village is more than just a music festival, with everything from indoor pool parties, arcade games, bowling, five-a side soccer, history and nature walks, go-karting, delicious food from local producers, and the best thing about it?… There’s absolutely no camping in muddy fields here! You can leave the wellies at home. Festival tickets include three nights accommodation in the village’s self-catering houses, so you can stay warm and enjoy all of the modern day conviences, while never being more than 2 minutes away from the festival stages.
Over three days, Trabolgan Holiday Village in East Cork will come alive with the sounds of savage international acts like: Young Fathers, Fujiya & Miyagi, Andrew Weatherall, Oh Pep!, the finest names in homegrown talent like Talos, Saint Sister, Martin Hayes and Steve Cooney, The Altered Hours, Brian Deady, Lankum, Slow Moving Clouds, Ye Vagabonds, Booka Brass, and Seamus Fogarty, late night DJs featuring Sim Simma, Nialler 9, Fish Go Deep and John Daly, and also popular poets, raconteurs and wordsmiths like Blindboy’s Live Podcast, Kevin Barry with Roger Doyle, Stephen James Smith, Cork Loves Music, The Point of Everythingand Under the Hammers.
It Takes A Village is unique in that they offer 172 self-catering houses and apartments, plus 35 fully-serviced campervan sites, contained in Trabolgan Holiday Village. Booking includes accommodation and unlimited access to the huge variety of entertainment. It’s a residents only affair for the festival weekend, with a limited amount of day tickets on Sunday.
